I previously used an alternative tanning salon in the town but found they were taking minutes off the beds and closed whenever they wanted to so not very professional. I’ve only recently started using Eze Tan and am disappointed I didn’t try them first! The shop is lovely, nice layout, clean, and good modern beds! The staff are all great! Genuinely nice people, really helpful and very professional. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Sunbeds emit ultraviolet radiation, which can cause tanning and sunburn. There is no evidence to suggest any type of sunbed is less harmful than natural sun exposure. Under professional supervision, sunbeds provide a specific dose of UV in a controlled environment, avoiding the risk of burning.
They emit UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays contribute to the oxidation and activation of melanin which already exists in the upper skin cells and induces a dark colour which can be achieved quicker but is temporary.
UVB rays on the other hand are responsible for the production of new melanin which leads to a more intense and long-lasting tan. Research shows that UVB rays plays a significant role in the production of vitamin D essential for maintaining a healthy immune system.
Unfortunately, it is not sufficient to just shut your eyes during a tanning session as the UV rays will easily penetrate your eyelids' thin skin and will damage your eyes.
It’s conducive to use tanning lotions as dry skin reflects uv light. Not using a lotion can cause moisture loss and collagen loss which leads to the loss of elasticity.
Tanning lotions encourages the tanning process by drawing the UV light to your skin. Studies have shown that tanning lotions help to achieve improved tanning results; up to 60% darker. They also add vitamins and nutrients that your skin needs to produce melanin.
Tan extenders are designed to be used after tanning and everyday in-between tanning sessions to extend the life of the tan and prepare your skin for the next tanning session.
Most moisturisers from the high streets contain SPF or alcohol which are not tanning friendly. Alcohol will dry the skin and cause it to peel/flake, therefore the tan will not last as long.
